LAST POST FROM OHIO

This will officially be my last post from our apartment in Ohio, as packing has begun, jobs have been notified, and we'll be out by the 1st of March.
As stated in my previous post, I had a backlog shipment of models in the works for any potential bored time (since we have to re-establish many things one at a time once over there).
And it delivered... in two shipments.

My first order actually came from Image Anime, since they were the first to get 2 of the 3 kits I ordered.

HGUC 1/144 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee ([Unicorn Mode] & [Destroy Mode]) and the HGFC 1/144 GF13-001NHII Master Gundam & Fuunsaiki.

I told myself that the Master and Fuunsaiki would be a day-one purchase, and I let it slip. Now that I have it, I can cross that one off! The Banshees were kind of a "duh" choice.

My next order from Gundam Store and More just came in today. I knew it was large, but I wasn't expecting two boxes to be necessary!

HGUC 1/144's RMS-099 Quattro's Rick Dias, RX-93-v2 Hi-v Gundam, Extreme Gundam, RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb, MRX-009 Psycho Gundam, MS-18E Kämpfer, MSN-001A1 Delta Plus and HGFC 1/144's GF13-017NJII G Gundam and 2(!) GF13-017NJ Shining Gundams

The reason for 2 Shining Gundams is to have one to switch between Normal and Battle modes and one to stay in Super mode, since the hidden parts change from grey to gold in Super Mode.

Needless to say, with 13 new kits (and 1 Master Grade still left), I should have alot to keep me busy until I get comfortable income again!

So that's it! Hopefully, my hiatus will be short lived, and the next time you all hear from me (aside from those who follow me on Twitter (@OZKai) and Facebook) will be for a review!

And please, wish us luck in this journey!

Goodbye! Until we meet again!

New Acquisitions and Final Moving Info

I'd meant to keep a more updated log on here of when I acquire new kits. Somehow, that's always slipped away from me. I'm gonna try to keep up with that, though, starting with the last few kits I got last year, leading to current.

Early December, I had just saw Gundam UC episode 4 (like most everyone else), and loved the combat in it soooo much. I decided I had to get a couple of the grunts that were introduced in that episode.

HGUC 1/144 AMS-129M Zee Zulu and HGUC 1/144 RGM-96X Jesta

Unfortunately for the Jesta, the Zee Zulu saw much better screen time and action this time around. With two episodes left, however, we can only hope the Jestas will get their shot.

My Christmas present Gunplas saw a much more... upgraded addition than I was expecting.

MG 1/100 OZ-13MS Gundam Epyon Ver.EW, XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock Ver.EW and XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell Ver.EW

While I had them on my list, I certainly wasn't expecting any of these. Much less three of 'em! My hat's definitely off to my parents for locating these at their local hobby stores. (None are counterfeit, either!)

The last ones listed here are my newest kits ordered post Christmas, to start getting HGUC's from Gundam Extreme Vs. as was a goal listed in my last posting.

HGUC 1/144 MS-06FZ Zaku II FZ, RX-79BD-1 Blue Destiny Unit 1, RX-78NT-1 Gundam NT1 "Alex" and MS-14S Char's Gelgoog.

For BD-1, I plan to order parts for a spare head (courtesy of GG Infinite), which I plan to paint the visor and cameras in EXAM mode. That will have to wait until after our move, however.

Now speaking of the move, we've gotten our taxes (just waiting for our federal to come in as of writing this) and are looking to be back home in Indiana by March 3rd. Since our taxes push us to our financial criteria to pull this cross-state move off, I'll have some extra funds to get some other things before we're out. I've got one order on the ready, and pending federal, I'll get another order to start a backlog of kits to work on once over there (As all but the Sandrock MG have been built already ^_^') .

If anything else comes up (or when I get my stuff in) I'll keep you all posted.

Year in Review: 2011

Being the first year in which I ran this blog (after my initial unfocused blog), everything that's here is from this year. But considering I wasn't able to get all the reviews I wanted up completed, I actually accomplished a lot more than I normally would have though.

End of Year Wishlist

I couldn't go to 2012 without adding my current 2-cents (sorry Siroh32) on Gunpla's current standing. With Gundam Unicorn's 4th episode out and my mind completely blown by it, I feel this is a good time to post my wishlist for upcoming gunpla... Unreasonable or otherwise.

Copious Inactivity Ahead

If it's not completely apparent already, my reviews have fallen way behind. And, unfortunately, is unlikely to progress anytime soon.
My work has been giving me around 40 hours a week, which is roughly 10-15 more than usual. And, to top it off, holiday season is beginning, meaning when I'm there, it's complete chaos. I've had very little down time to relax, much-less even get in a reviewing mind-set. And if that weren't enough, our inevitable exodus back to Indiana is inching closer, meaning packing is soon upon us. We've got a lot to take care of before then, and job-hunting takes priority. As does saving money for a potential extended period of time being unemployed.

So, long story short, this blog's not going to see much action (if any) until all of this is settled and past. I greatly apologize to those who've been looking forward to my review series (and I do appreciate those of you who take the time to read my ramblings). Once at our new home, I plan to set up a more elaborate studio for the photo shoots, and I'll also be free to cover all of my MG's and other kits that have been packed away since the opening of this blog.

I'll keep you all updated as any changes occur, and hope for a smooth transition when that time comes.
