Some Things GET and Other Bits

Well, it's taking longer than I thought to get what was going to be the topic of my next post, so I'll show off my recent finds until then.

I just got the HG 1/144 Strike Noir Gundam today, as a local hobby store has had it the last, like, 12 times I'd been in there, so I said, "Fine". I like the Noir's design anyway, so this was one kit I was going to eventually get. I also picked up the side cutters there, as the ones I kept getting keep breaking >_<
The Tamashii Stage Act.4 display base I got from GGinfinite!

In recent news, while waiting for my main event, I stumbled across even more awesome info...

D-Arts Rockman X X (Full Armor)
Bandai / Release: September 2011 / Price: 3675 yen
...
We already have Zero [1st Ver.] coming out in August, and now this in September! If I see a Bandai representative any time soon, I'd probably just walk by him and hand him my wallet without losing forward momentum.

All of this Mega Man X love's gotten me nostalgic, so I decided to dig these out...

Rockman X

Anybody remember these? These are the Mega Armor Series figures from Bandai Asia. They had pre-assembled base figures with model kit-like armor that could be placed and interchanged. Some were re-issued in 2002 when Rockman X6 came out in Japan, but have been out of production since. I managed to snag most of those a couple years back...

Irregular Hunter Zero

X3 Max Armor (Plated, apparently)

Irregular Hunter Zero (Black)

Rockman X All-X (Pronounced "ALL-EEKS." Seriously.)

X4 Ultimate Armor

I have no intention on reviewing these as most of their conditions are rather poor. Having kit-like parts from someone other than Bandai Japan, the assembling process is rather damaging to the parts. But I will add these to the list.

But, one more thing to leave you with...

I finally finished the Kotobukiya 1/10 scale Rockman kit I picked up at Ohayocon earlier this year! I'll be reviewing that soon, so stay tuned for that!

I'm got Vava Mk II, and a Zero from the Mega Armor Series. I also have just the armor for the Max Armor Rockman. I see the re-issue of the black version of Zero came with a grey body, the original had a pinky purple body instead.

@Joe
Pinky-purple!? That is just terrible... May have done well as the base to a "Zero Virus" repaint...

Idk, I think his upper legs, upper arms and midriff were a light purple in X4 when the Black Armor was used after putting in the code at the character select screen. I guess i should clarify, it was a lighter pastel pinky purple. That body was also used in the "Double Impact" set that had three armors for X and Black Version Zero.

@Joe
G~AHH!!!
No, his base tone stayed black/grey in all of his iterations (I know, I've ripped the sprites myself XP). That... just... hurts to look at!!!
Also, the glittery plastic!? No thanks! No need for Twilight Zero! *Blegh*

lol, yeah, none to happy with it myself which is why I never bothered to get one. I would like to get an Iron Buster Rockman X one day though...

This is actually my second UA. My first on was plated, so I didn't have the clear effect the illustrations gave it, nor a good foundation to paint the missing details.
Other than that, this one still broke in all the same places.

hey man, my name is Jeff from Taiwan, and I got a question for you.
Does your "Irregular Hunter Zero" look like that straight out of the box?
Because I am looking to buy one from an auction, but on the side panel, it displays a different-looking figure, like the helmet being completely red instead of white and red (http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21609947062602#auc). Please advise. Thanks.

So, did you do some painting on those models? If so, do you remember what paints and methods you used?
