Another "FINALLY"!

Well, right now, we're still sitting in backlog phase on here, but I'm in the midst of rearranging my entire setup, as well as many other RL issues that have taken priority.
(To be honest, I'm not even sure how many of my regular readers still read this... :\)
Anyway, I've got a couple more items I'd been waiting for since I pre-ordered them back in February.

S.H.Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Green Ranger and Red Ranger

These are my first ever Figuarts, and I must say, even with my high expectations, I was still quite impressed with the overall quality and intricacies of these figures! And while these ones do lack the Powerful Ranger accessories from season two of Akibaranger that the Japanese Zyuranger versions include, they're still more than enough for me, as my fondest memory lies with the North American Power Rangers.

It's amazing how quickly I became 7 again after opening these. ^__^

I also managed to get the display bases that were originally SDCC exclusive second-hand without a ridiculous markup!

No favoritism here, at all...

I definitely plan on getting the rest of the MMPR group, which are coming out at the speed of lightning, so I'm hoping I can afford them all in their first run...

I'm not gonna promise any reviews anytime soon (considering I've been awful on delivering, lately, anyway), but I do have a couple more things over the next few months that I will be acquiring, so keep an eye out for those!

Until then, all two of you!

Fallen behind again, it seems...

Wow! Been a bit, again, hasn't it? ^__^;; Sadly, the lack of productivity hasn't been met much in way of getting more Gunpla (or even figures, for that matter).

However, I had obtained a few things during Anime Central 2013 in Chicago, which was back in May.
I had one thing in mind while there, and the con did not disappoint in my means of obtaining it...

The elusive D-Arts Mewtwo - which I missed the pre-orders for - was my priority, solely for the exclusive Mew that was only available for the first printing! For $50, this was almost a steal, seeing as it goes for $80, easily!!!

I also picked up a couple BB Senshi kits, Unicorn Gundam and Sinanju, courtesy of the Bluefin/Tamashii Nations booth. Great prices, but they could have planned their floor space better.
(Sidenote: I have social phobias in conjunction with claustrophobia, and large gatherings like conventions exploit those flaws @__@)

In actual building news, I did finally finish ONE of my MG's obtained this year.

My MG 1/100 Tallgeese II is finally complete!
I chose to go without decals for this, as I like the simple elegance of it's base look!

I have a couple pre-ordered items that will be releasing in the next couple months, so if nothing else, I guess expect updates on those when they arrive. Not sure when I'll get around to doing any further reviews, but when I do, you'll be the first know. ^__^;;

Full Armor Unicorn WIP and Other Updates

I knew this thing was gonna be a beast, but the effort I'm putting into it is far more than even I expected. I've built 3 other Ver.Ka kits in the past, so I'm familiar with the Katoki's "Decal Hell," but it's a whole different monster when you put the effort to trim them down...

A New Zero Appears! (Also, new blog!)

Through a complete stroke of luck, I managed to obtain the last D-Arts figure I'd been missing, thanks to a gift card to Amazon.com!  Now I have all the Rockman X D-Arts (Aside from the Iwamoto Comic Ver. and the Comi-Con Metallic Ver. exclusives of X) currently available...

Also, if you noticed the side bar, I've started a web comic blog: RPGags!

It's something I'd been meaning to do for a long time now, but just never got around to it. To those worried, this shouldn't get in the way of the inactivity on this site. XD  (I'm trying, honest ^ ^;)

Actually, with this Zero obtained, I can officially finish off a couple reviews I'd been needing this for...

FOREBODE...

VAVA GET!!!

Finally just got this in today after pre-ordering the thing in March...

Ominous box is not so ominous...

My D-Arts (Tamashii Web Exclusive) Vile (VAVA) from Mega Man X (Rockman X) finally came in!

Expect a review of this thing... eventually. *shrug*

D-Arts Zero (1st Ver.) Review

When the D-Arts X (Mega Man or Rockman, pick your poison) was announced, it didn't take a Reploid engineer to know who was following suit. Though, the iteration used certainly took everyone by surprise.

Though, it's only logical to go with the first appearance's version rather than straight to the one everyone's more familiar with. Some thought this was a stupid move, but I was grateful to see Zero's X1 design get a figure, after being glossed over in the old Mega Armor Series during the mid 90's.

D-Arts Rockman X Review

History lesson:
As stated in my review for Kotobukiya’s 1/10 scale Rockman kit, I was introduced into the Mega Man game franchise with the first Mega Man X, which I got in 1993 when it came out. I never actually beat it until 14 years later, when I got the Mega Man X Collection on the PlayStation 2. Sigma always mowed over me.
However, Mega Man X4 was what truly hooked me. My first game on the PSOne in 1997 (I played it before I played my Final Fantasy VII), the game’s story depth (for an at-the-time Mega Man game) and graphics blew me away! The anime-like cut scenes alone were enough to hook me.
Flash forward to 2008. Long after Bandai’s Mega Armor Series died off, I managed to get some of the 2003 re-issues at a very reasonable price. I loved these little things. Even with all of their flaws, they represented the little bit of MMX that I loved… And then came 2010.
